Bellingen Shire Council is seeking to apply for funding through the Safer Local Roads and Infrastructure Program to upgrade Cut Bank Bridge near the intersection of Tyringham Road and Muldiva Road at Bostobrick.
The proposed upgrade aims to improve the safety and functionality of Tyringham Road, ensuring it remains a reliable and accessible route during emergencies and natural disasters. Proposed works will involve building a new, wider and stronger bridge with better barriers for improved safety. The new bridge will also be slightly higher to help reduce flood impacts and make the road smoother and safer to drive on. Since Tyringham Road is a critical route with no alternative detours, traffic will be managed with temporary traffic lights to allow the bridge to stay open while work is being done.
To strengthen our grant application, we are seeking input from the community on how this upgrade would impact your travel, safety, lifestyle and livelihood needs. Your feedback is invaluable in helping Council ensure Tyringham Road meets the needs of residents, visitors, and businesses in Bellingen Shire.
We encourage you to complete the quick survey below and share your thoughts on how these improvements could benefit the local community. While we hope for a successful outcome, please note that funding is not yet guaranteed.
