Timeframe

Construction is due to start 1st Quarter of 2025. Construction period is 3-4 month weather dependent. 

Community Impacts

Temporary bridge installed adjacent to new bridge to minimise community impacts. There will minimal planned closures that will impact the community for activities which require road closure such as cranes. In addition, there will be small delays where traffic control is required for intermittent works that encroach on the road.

About the Bridge

Council is replacing an old 3-cell culvert with a dual lane bridge which is being constructed by Council Bridge Crews. The new 8.5m length bridge will be approximately 500mm higher, greatly increasing the capacity of the waterway crossing to improve the flood immunity for Kalang Road.
