There are changes to the way we are delivering our Bulky Goods, Green Waste Vouchers & Rural Waste Access Cards, through the new Waste Management Cards.
Construction works are planned to commence by mid-February and are anticipated to that they will take approximately 8-12 weeks, weather & contractor availability permitting.
Large sections of Hill Street and Evans Street have significantly deteriorated due to poor and insufficient drainage and major impacts of the past two La Nina events, and require pavement rehabilitation.
The Bellingen Shire Council intends to reconstruct approximately 120 m of very poor areas of surface condition with pavement rehabilitation and to reseal the rest of the remaining road length. Some areas with poor drainage will also require the construction of a new kerb to channel and improve the stormwater management.
Once road works start, there will be traffic control on the road, meaning there may be some delays. Notifications to the community will be provided during any major disruption via online channels and VMS boards.
