About the Project
Council is planning to undertake the remediation of the flood damaged embankment located at the intersection of Bridge Street and Hammond Street as part of the Flood Recovery Works Program.
Project scope:
Restoration works will include the construction of a gabion retaining wall.
Community Impacts
Council advise these works will require short term closure to the Hammond Street Car park and the George Edmunds Reserve during the following dates:
- 04th September to 09th October
A pedestrian diversion will be made available to provide access continuity from Bridge Street to Hammond Street.
Council is working with the Contractor to ensure access to the George Edmunds Reserve as soon as practical. Further detail to be advised.
