About the Project

Kalang Road Embankment Restoration project aims at restoring the function of flood-damaged road embankment to pre-disaster condition.

Project Scope

Rockfill and Regrading Package – works completion by early April 2024

Soil Nails – works completion by early June 2024

Soldier Pile Walls – works to commence in April and to be completed by early Sep 2024

Community Impacts

Due to urgent flood repair works, short term closures of Kalang Road will be required during the months of March to May. During any major disruptions, notifications to community will be provided via online channels and VMS boards.

Council advises the following changes to road closures on Kalang Road as of Friday 5 July 2024.

5 to 15 July: 1 lane open
16 to 18 July: full road closure 9am-12.00pm Open 12.00pm-12.30pm Closed 12.30pm-3 pm
19 to 22 July: 1 lane openWorks are due for completion on the 22 July.
