Waste Facilities & Charges

Council has a Waste Disposal Facility in Dorrigo, Bellingen and Raleigh.

Waste Collection

Waste Collection (Garbage bin, Green bin. Recycling bin, collection calendar, flyers & docs, wheel in & wheel out)

Bellingen Shire Council is working with Norco Rural Bellingen, the Big Bag Recovery team and their Australian Government Accredited Product Stewardship Scheme for selected recyclable bulk feed and fertiliser bags and sacks over 15kg.

Bulky Goods

Residents that pay the Domestic Waste Management Charge are also eligible for one scheduled kerbside bulky goods collection and may request one bulky house waste each calendar year.

Waste Fee Exemption

Not-for-profit community groups and Australian Charities often have limited financial resources whilst providing the services which benefits the broader community. In recognition of these limited financial resources Bellingen Shire Council may provide Waste fee exemption upon application to assist not-for-profit community groups.
