Bellingen Shire Libraries Unveil Hoopla Digital

In an exciting development for library enthusiasts, Bellingen Shire Libraries, part of the Clarence Regional Library network, are proud to introduce Hoopla Digital, a groundbreaking digital service offering access to over a million titles. Effective from May 2024, this addition promises to revolutionise the way our community engages with literature, music, movies, and more.
The arrival of Hoopla Digital marks a significant enhancement to the digital offerings available to our members. With just a library card, individuals gain instant access to a vast array of content, from audiobooks to eBooks, comics to music, and even TV shows and movies. The convenience of Hoopla's platform means that members can stream content seamlessly from anywhere, without any wait times, using the user-friendly Hoopla Digital app, compatible with both iOS and Android devices.
Beyond mere entertainment, Hoopla boasts a diverse collection covering a wide range of important topics, from social issues to cultural studies, and materials available in over 100 languages globally. Families will appreciate the curated Kids Mode, featuring 152,000children's titles tailored for young readers.
Council's Shire Librarian, Rowena Sierant shares her enthusiasm: "We're thrilled to extend the reach of our library services across our three Shire Libraries in Bellingen, Dorrigo, and Urunga with the addition of Hoopla Digital. This platform allows us to provide even more access to valuable content, ensuring that everyone in our community can enjoy the benefits of the library, regardless of their ability to visit in person. We encourage those without a membership to sign up and discover the wealth of resources available."
Members of Bellingen Shire Libraries can enjoy up to 10 borrows per month, choosing between Instant Borrows for immediate access or Flex Borrows for shared copies with reservation lists. Additionally, Hoopla offers curated Binge Passes, bundling themed content for 7-day enjoyment with just 1 borrow. Plus, members can take advantage of Bonus Borrows featuring monthly specially selected titles that won't impact their monthly borrow allocation.
