Essential Landscaping Works at Council Chambers

In the coming weeks, you’ll notice some changes at the entrance to the Bellingen Shire Council Chambers. To protect the foundation of the building, we will be removing certain trees and vegetation that pose a risk.

This work is part of a broader project to enhance the front entry gardens, improving amenity while introducing new landscaping and public art that reflects the rich Indigenous heritage of our Shire.

We’ve worked closely with representatives of our Indigenous community to select plantings that will complement the new artwork and create a welcoming space for all.

Please note, these changes apply to trees near the Council Chambers as pictured, not any of the larger trees in Maam Gaduying (Meeting Place).

Stay tuned for further updates!
