Embrace the upcycling and fix-it movement sweeping the Mid North Coast and dive into the world of native bees with an engaging workshop that teaches you how to craft your very own Native Bee Hotel. This innovative workshop is proudly presented by Bellingen Shire Council in partnership with MidWaste.
Led by Chelsea, a native bee enthusiast, participants will be guided through the fascinating realm of native bees, discovering their crucial role in our ecosystems and how to identify and support these invaluable pollinators. Moreover, Chelsea will impart her expertise on constructing Native Bee Hotels using recycled materials, giving attendees the opportunity to make their own unique creations during the workshop to take home.

In line with our ongoing commitment to community engagement and sustainable practices, Bellingen Shire Council and MidWaste frequently host free 'Fix It' workshops. The upcoming Native Bee Hotel Workshop invites participants to not only learn about native bees and their conservation, but also to actively contribute to the environment by crafting their own recycled bee hotels.
The workshop will be hosted at The Bowerhouse Community Reuse Centre, a space dedicated to promoting reuse and reducing waste. The Bowerhouse offers a selection of quality second-hand items, helping divert reusable products from ending up in landfills.
