UPCOMING ROAD CLOSURE – Kalang Road
Due to urgent flood repair works, intermittent closures will be required on Kalang Road to remediate a major slip. These works involve constructing a pile retaining wall to support and stabilise the road embankment. These works are taking place approximately 19.4 km from the start of Kalang Road.
Scheduled Closures:
Motorists should expect short-term road closures lasting 30 to 45 minutes between:
8:30 AM – 12:00 PM and 12:30 PM – 3:30 PM on the following dates:
- 28 February – 5 March (4 days)
- 10 – 13 March (4 days)
- 17– 20 March (4 days)
- 24– 26 March (3 days)
Access During Works:
Motorists can travel through the worksite:
- Before 8:30 AM
- After 3:30 PM
- Between 12:00 – 12:30 PM
- During closure periods (with potential delays of up to 45 minutes)
Please note: Dates and durations may change due to weather or other unforeseen factors. Updates will be provided via VMS boards on Kalang Road, Council’s website, and social media channels.
