Disability Inclusion Action Plan 2022-2026

Our community vision states that we are Connected, Sustainable and Creative. To achieve this vision, everyone needs to be able to participate and be included in our community.

Bellingen Shire Councils Disability Inclusion Action Plan 2022-2026 explains how we will work over the next four years to support people with disability have greater access to information, services and facilities and how we will remove barriers to access and participation, including discrimination based on disability. We recently updated this Plan with the help of people in our community who live with disability.

Below are four key outcome areas that are determined by the NSW Disability Inclusion Action Plan Guidelines.

  • Promoting positive attitudes and behaviours
  • Creating liveable communities
  • Supporting access to meaningful employment
  • Better systems and processes
